No, it's to take out all the RAMBO's who go guns blazing and just run over a health to get back to snuff. It will replinish your health over time, not automatically.

The health packs are still in but as special ed said instead of it immediately bostin your health it does it over a period of time maybe like 5% every few seconds.

That will be interesting. I sure do hope it does encourage camping while waiting for your health to come back up. I also hope they have sacrificed gameplay for realistic. No one cares how realistic a game is if the gameplay sucks.

If it negatively affects their precious little score then they'll care.

Hell yes this is a good idea. MG whores (and being on the AA.COM server, you HAVE to be on one), will no longer be able to charge headlong into the fray and simply run over some schmucks HEALTH PACK. NOW, they are STILL vulnerable and can easily be picked off. I wouldn't be suprised if the rate of healing is changable, and some servers turn it WAY down. Maybe 1% a second.
As far as camping is concerned, let them camp. They'll still be vulnerable, and they STILL have to come out from their camping spot if they want to get more health. And really, isnt STOPPING and thinking about your next move the fucking point of this implement, so that folks aren't going apeshit, with their MG's.

As I recall from some older news, the speed of health replenishing is a server option, just like that new realism feature and whatnot.

I always preferred going ape shit with a smg or rifle. The game is an arcade game with a realistic presentation. Thats right, arcade. The one thing I have always disliked about the game was the pace. You move too slow. Q3 was too fast, but there could have been a happy medium. The last thing I want is more sheep stopping to think and slowing the game down even more. I think anyone that stops for more than 3 seconds should blow up, kind of like a lane violation. Hmmm...maybe we could add a shot clock in moh....

about camping: if you watch any war movie you'll notice that most of the time the guys who "camp" are the ones who win, and the guys who charge like idiots (like the Japs) get mowed down. Frankly I prefer the challenge of having to smoke out defenders than watching a bunch of morons charge up main street weaving side to side (with 20 pound MGs and 50 pound rucks, they must be superhuman!!!)
about realism: are you saying that 10 shotgun whores dancing in the middle of the street is fun???

arcade is lame man, the point of a WAR game is to use TEAMWORK and STRATEGY to outmanuver your opponent, thus making it easier to outgun him.
if everyone runs into the middle of the road weaving it becomes more of who is lucky enough to get random hits and not who has the better aim and ability to spot the enemy before the spot him, reaction time, etc.

So from your post, I can assume you play america's army and operation flash point? Those games are much more realistic and require more team play. I have my own strategy that works well and teamwork means staying out of my way. I will work with teammates on occasion but rarely is someone willing or able.
I like realism, the mod, but realistic has no place in an arcade game with realistic textures and models. Dancing in the road weaving is curbed by the realism mod, but sure does beat hangin out in the shadows waiting for someone to run by. If everyone did that, how much fun would it be?
And dont for a second think that the guy dancin in the street with twice as many kills as anyone else is 'getting lucky' and making random hits. That cat is quicker, more acurate and deadlier than anyone else on the map. And if he could do it dancin in the open, just think what kind of ratio he could have had if he had hidden behind a chair the whole round.

Thats why DOD was so damn fun. Well it was until they updated it and now it has the swaying aim which is mad gay. They made it to realistic. But if MoH has similar weapon damage like in DoD, it will make it alot more enjoyable. I loved laying prone with the garand and just picking people off with one shot. That was awesome. Also i gots a question. To play the missions in the expansion pack will u need to beat all the missions in the regular game?
