Argon,

this is what i got told from gamespy forum, i have done everything but the ports bit, i don't quite understand that- is it ntl my isp that is the problem?

Okway . Please answer us the following questions ^.^

Are you behind any software firewall like ZoneAlarm or BlackIce or are you using any monitoring anti virus applications like Norton AntiVirus or McAfee VirusScan ?

Are you behind any proxy or router hardware ?

Are you using windows XP ?

Okway . In the following you will find the solutions for your problems. Same color is for same question.
If a question is answered with NO , dun care to read the answer ^.^

Well , make sure that you have set the security level to LOW and that you have allowed mohaa.exe to contact the internet and to act as a server. Be aware of the fact that setting the security level to low might be a security risk for your system ^.^

Please make sure that you have disabled the required ports for GSA and the extra one for Mohaa hosting . This should be port 29960 ^.^ The other ports are :
6667 (IRC)
3783 (Voice Chat Port)
27900 (Master Server UDP Heartbeat)
28900 (Master Server List Request)
29900 (GP Connection Manager)
29901 (GP Search Manager)
13139 (Custom UDP Pings)
6515 (Dplay UDP)
6500 (Query Port)

When you do not know how to open those ports , just tell us the name and company of your router and we will tell you how to do this. For more information about port opening you should also read your routers manual ^.^

XP contains a built-in firewall. To disable it, go Start -> Control Panel -> Network Connections, double-click on your internet connection, click the "Properties" button, go to the "Advanced" tab, and uncheck the box that says "Protect my computer and network by limiting or preventing access to this computer from the Internet".
