I shot my brother at 5 feet and he got some really nasty bloody welts. Thats only because he charged me and scared the hell out of me and i instictivly pulled the trigger. I've been shot everywhere on my body, yes even my nuts, and the only time it hurts is when its to close. You should at least give it a try. It addicting.
