Because you don't know if you'll like it, so you waste 50 bucks and any monthly charges. I say either make it so we only pay monthly, and then we download it for free. Or have games like Global ops and BF1942 where it is online, but free. Of course Planetside may be too good to pass up. Have to wait and see.
