There is nothing in there that gives a CLEAR and definable CONTENT restriction on what is considered spam.

Which AGAIN, is the problems.

If I put up a thread containing "ed's greatest hits" - how in goods name does that A) Not make sense, B) Go to increase my post count (one aint a whole lotta difference), or C) go anywhere "off-topic" since I start my own thread.

Is it a lil "foo-foo" - perhaps. But to insert one of your patented "smarmy-ass-not-making-you-any-more-friends-than-you-already-DONT-have" - well I would consider that SPAMMING, THREAD-HIJACKING, and just DIRTY POOL. But please, let's let this be a forum where we can discuss the issues of SPAMMAGE and what some folks seem to have a problem with.[/quote:5ffec]

Ed, you ain't gonna make the debate team like this.

Whether "Ed's Greatest hits" is spam or not depends on what the message is. If "ed's greatest hits" is all that the thread is all about, without any explanation whatsoever, then of course it won't make any sense to normal users.

But if you follow the subject "Ed's Greatest hits" with, for example, a bunch of screenies showing off your greatest gaming moments in Pong, then I suppose none of us could accuse you of A) Not making any sense, B) posting in the sole purpose of increasing your post count, or C) go anywhere "off-topic".

Our rules are written for members that are over 13 years old, and I'm not saying this to diss you; there's a button that asks you whether you are below or over 13 when you register, and I tend to not activiate users that are below 13.

Then again, I guess they coulda just click on the other button, right Ed? eek:

Any more questions?
