It is garunteed in my
closed contract. You can pick and choose a lot more options in the Army than in any of the other services. Besides, the only other airborne units out there, that I can think of right now, are the 173rd Brigade in Vicenza, Italy (would really like to go to that one btw!) the 2 Brigades based in Alaska, and not many others. 101st is not airborne anymore, they're air assault (choppers). They just keep the airborne tab for historical reasons i've heard. These smaller units are harder to get into because there is less slots available. 82nd has thousands of Paratroopers, so you would think it wouldn't be as hard to get a slot. The Army won't send a soldier with jumpwings to, say, 4th ID or 2nd ID. Personally, I wouldn't care which one I was assigned to if I didn't have a choice. They're all good.
