First off, dont' call me an Idiot, and do not censor my curse words. And second, you yourself said that the weapons classified as Assualt Rifles in SOCOM were Full Automatic Weapons.

You said that yourself. The AK47 was made by Kalashnikov, and it was made for Full Automatic fire and a restained rate to keep recoil down. It's the best known Automatic Firearm, EVER. The M-16A1 was designed for semi automatic fire, true, but it did fire Full Automatic, and it wasn't very good at that. It emptied a magazine quick, and recoiled like a Vibrator set on "Kill."
