Well it took me a few days, on and off, to type it at work. But I type all the time anyway.

Basically I did forget some movies I am sure (Enemy at the Gate being one!) But others I left off because I would not recommend them as good movies about World War Two.

Cross of Iron did not make it as I thought it was ok at best. And after waiting a long time for it to come out I was pretty dissapointed really. That last scene with Schell and Coburn blasting away amid the roaring music was a bit hokey for me.

Thin Red Line #1 had the production values of a TV show and so completely disregarded the book (as did the Naked and the Dead) that I did not think it made the cut really.

Thin Red Line #2 was a mishmash of scenes shot using cool looking filters, but I am not sure if it qualifies as a movie. Can't believe it was nominated for Best Picture!

I kept expecting it to come together and actually amount to something. After the screening I saw here in NYC there was silence as it ended and someone ahead of me stood up in sillouette, flipped the bird to the screen and said "F%#@k you." and got a big laugh from the audience.
