You could study the guides and become a "paper" certified MCSE. They changed it now though. You can memorize the guides page for page and never pass the certifications. Now it helps to have experience along with book knowlegge to pass the tests. A+ certification is something I see alot of as a minimum requirement as well. Test at $120+ a pop makes sure you know your stuff.
