For every weapon there is a counter-weapon: Weapon: Counter Weapon: Sniper - Shotgun Rifle - SMG MG - SMG SMG - Shotgun/SMG Rocket - Sniper Shotgun - Rocket In my opinion, MG is a neutral weapon. It can counter near everything, but it isn't the absolute best at countering any single weapon.
