ok buddy. this is wrong on so many levels. once up in the air, the corsair was the best navy fighter ww2 fighter. its diving characteristics were stellar, and it was very agile. its gull wing shape did make it somewhat difficult for carrier landings, but all planes were tough to land on a carrier. the corsair, was the best navy fighter of ww2 . ive read numerous books on ww2 aircraft and what you just said is absolutely hake: and oOo:[/quote:7a900]

that's what i was thinking jaybird. they came into action in '43 i think. had a huge kill ratio.
