The xp2500 runs at 1.83 ghz out of the box. If you have it up to 2.1, that is a fairly significant gain. The xp3000 is 2.167 ghz. The max temp stated by amd for my xp2200 is 70. That is pretty high IMO and I would not reccomend going over 60. To have the amount of overclocking you do and to still only run at 58 C under load, you either have some excellent cooling, or you got a choice cpu, or you have your fans running so fast, your pc must sound like a hairdryer, or some combination of the 3.
