You guys should also check out Coppola's documentry shot by his wife on the making of APN Called "HEARTS OF DARKNESS"

It's based on documentary footage that Eleanor Coppola (his wife) shot at the time the film was being made.... I think the documentary is just as good as the original film itself.

Some of the footage depicts scenes of the actual real sacrifice of that water buffalo in conjunction with kurtz being taken down at the end of the film. and lots of other information that happened on set.. like, Martin Sheen's heart attack during the film.. To Coppola's "rented" Hueys from the Philippine military that had to keep being called away for use to fight the gorillas still inside parts of south east Asia, as there was still tension brewing left over from Nam.

Anyway.. Check it out, its an amazing film as well.
