See I'm not either, the problem I have is that alot of these folks are young kids who simply look to what their peers are producing and just crank out this HORRENDOUSLY derivative work, that looks no different than the guy next to them. A couple of the mods here fall under that. Granted we havent seen any gameplay but my money is on a reskinned HL and thats it.

Theres also Desert Combat, and Galactic quest. Other than the coding and the skins, can anyone tell me how this mod differs from Battlefield. Right now the only mod that looks even remotely original is that Pirate mod for BF.

Natural Selection to me is the ONLY mod - lately - that is trying to move past it's "run and gun and reskin" brothers. Before that there was The Specialists which is a great PURE action mod, but offers combos, etc to seperate it from the pack. That's another mod I'm looking for to get a "Part 2" when SOURCE is released (how cool would it be is The Source was actually released still in September even if HL isnt).
