I don't understand when i zoom in it usually takes one shot to kill an enemy, but if i do not zoom in it usually takes more than one shot, even if i shoot in a similar location on the enemies body.

Is this because i am missing or because zooming in makes the weapon more powerful?

I never noticed this, maybe your aim isn't spot on. I have made plenty of unscoped one shot kills with KAR98-sniper.

Also - if everyone (most) prefer the mauser - why is there now a mod to make the springfield less effective in MP?
<HR></BLOCKQUOTE>

Because some people don't like it when snipers kill them, solution: Bitch whine, then make mod to make every weapon less powerful except the one you regularly use.
