I'm watching a review of the Peter Pan movie on T.V. and it looks quite good, apart from the fact that Peter has a GADAM AMERICAN ACCENT!!!!111
I really don't have anything against you yankee guys, on the contrary, biggrin: But this is an 'English' story written and first performed in Victorian England, set in Victorian London etc. Wendy has an English accent and when Peter flies in through her window he says something along the lines of "Howdy Ahm Peder Payn" it completely ruins the film for me. oOo: It's probably quite hard for some of you guys to understand what I'm getting at because most of you are from America and therefore talk like that. To try and put it in your perspective it's almost like the Germans 'stealing' spiderman and having him climb up the Empire State Building and saying "Vell, vat haff vee here, sie nasti batt menn ar tryink tu take ofer sie vorlt."
Then the producer had the brass balls to say that he wanted to make the film 'as original as possible'. stupid: rolleyes: oOo: eek: I don't mind spin offs like Hook etc where just about everyone has an American accent, but this film is meant to be as close to the original as possible.
