I agree Old. Out of the five Urban Centers that I have spent a considerable amount of time in, only two have a public transportation system that allows you to completely ditch your car, excepting the occasional road trip: San Fran and Seattle. Thing is, the rent in both cities can be extremely high, definitely out of reach of some kid trying to make it on his own.

As for my '21 to drive' statement, allow me to quantify that here. I will admit that it was an exaggeration. I perfectly understand that getting anywhere outside of an Urban environment requires a car. My statement was based more on maturity, rather than skill. That video displayed a kid's lack of some maturity (disregard for one's, or another's, property). Raising the driving age to 21 is a fallacy, but goddamn I do wish there were other measures in place to ensure that a driver is able to responsibly handle a potentially deadly weapon. So many kids are brash and arrogant. It seems they gather chips on their shoulders by the minute and mumble "Fuck em" with every step they take. Put em behind the wheel to show off, as those fucks in the video were doing, and somebody WILL get the proverbial eye poked out.
