The kids know enough about what's going on to be considered well informed for their age, but at the same time you're not giving them nightmares about it. For my mind, you've reached some sort of neutral ground between reality and blissful ignorance that a whole lot of parents wouldn't be able to achieve. DAMN THE TORPEDOES! GO WITH IT, SAYS I!
