[quote="Old Reliable":91f5c]you can't just hate people without trying to understand where they come from. so americans are killing people around the world. why can't they be angry? what do you want them to do, sit back and let it happen? you can't put these guys out with fire, it's publicity, and it won't die until the last man. this war is psychological if it is to be won. your attitude of hating muslims doesn't help either.[/quote:91f5c]

I dont hate muslims and I understand their anger as well. But the fact is, the US could do anything, ANYTHING to relieve the tension going on in the middle east but it still wont solve this problem. There are too many old timers in power that keep their hatreds alive. Yasser Arafat, the Ayatollah, the leader of Lebanon; all of these dudes have been in power since the cold war and prosper under the current climates. They arent going to seek peace with the west because then they will be useless. How can there be peace in the middle east with Israel alive? As long as they are there, it wont happen because militant islam will always have an excuse to start their shit. Im not saying we should go in guns blazing to kill every mother fucker off, but to me, it looks like it would make the world a better place.
