Sometimes, it's the simplist stuff that sounds the best to the ear--that's why alot of you can play much of your favorite songs. Tabs has also helped the spread of the music to the average person. I'm big into jazz and I mostly like them as musicians because they all know theory behind chords and countless modes/scales/cliches/phrases that they use in improvisations. Not too many people can play solos of the great jazz musicians. Again, don't get me wrong. I was just wondering if these guys really know what they are playing.[/quote:ca630]
Pat Metheny is jazz, and he's amazing, check him out. i like Dream Theater because their music is in-depth, complex, meaningful, and incredibly talented. check em both out.
