I'd disagree. The army's frag grenades are just that, fragmentation grenades. The outer shell turns into shrapnel that go right into you. If a nade is right ontop of you, you may get something blown off, but other than that, their explosion isnt anything amazing, just enough to hurl pieces of metal all over. The other type of grenade, I believe it is called something like a concussion grenade of something, has a bigger blast and is meant to do damage from the explosion itself, that may leave you pretty blown up.
