Downtown nashville is pretty fun.

The whole area is the "historic district", which as far as I can tell translates into the brick district since everything is 2-3 story buildings, all the same color birck. But its about 10-12 blocks of bars and restuarants, with a relatively laid back atmosphere and bars with themes from jazz to country to metal. Last I went we had a good time in the bourbon street blues bar and in the bat bar. Its been a while, dunno if they are still there or not.
