I don't agree with that.

I don't think the problem is having the kids see that, rather the dog being alive during the process. If they want to do things like that on dogs, thats fine, but use a dog that has already been put down. There's no need to use a live dog.

I would definitely have a problem with this if this happened in one of my classes. I don't think i've ever heard of a bioliogy class that uses live subjects.
