Ok, i didn't bother reading the advice given here (i could only imagine what was written) but here's what Arkan would do.

I'd have a lil' chat with my buddy and see how he felt about it. If it was really going to bother him to the point it may affect our friendship, i'd pass. There are tons of girls out there and one coming between life long friends just isn't worth the aggravation. Have some respect for your friend and ask for his thoughts.
