Depends how you look at it, theres a lot of people that will buy intel simply for the fact its intel. And to the average buyer an intel cpu thats advertised as 3ghz will seem to be faster than an amd cpu running at 2.8 or so.

Hyperthreadings also an advantage, amd cpu's can choke when running multiple apps, intels remain smooth because of hyperthreading.

When it comes to overclocking intel decimates amd cpu's, a 1ghz overclock or more is possible with certain p4's, i don't know if its possible for an amd cpu to even get half that without going to phase change cooling which is pretty expensive compared to common watercooling for a p4.

Ive had both brands, amd and intel, considering an amd next time around just for a change. they both have their plus points and negatives, i can't really say one completly "owns" the other because its not the case.

worder perfectly. and Acideyez that was one of the most straight forward yet funniest things I have ever read lol nice.
