I actually disagree... Yes he stayed on the plane until everyone else had been evacuated, but... if he hadnt have landed so hard in the first place all the tyres wouldnt have popped. Do u actually know how hard u have have to land to pop the tyres on a plane. He must have landed extremely hard. Ideally he should have been diverted to another airport. But even when landing the ILS takes you right through your approach attitude and into your final. All the pilot really needed to to was flare is aircraft (not a hard thing to do when u have experience even in low visibility). If the worst came to the worst, the instruments are very accurate and relying on them should have made that plane do a perfect landing. I've flown a plane (done 8hr 30 mins), At the end i was able to fly complete circuits and land perfectly, without instruments and hightech ILS equipment. This mistake shouldnt have happened, this could have gone MUCH worse!
I'm just glad there wasnt any fatalities.
