Also, on your last day, go out drinking and have fun with one of your 2 bosses. That was a great night. Didnt show up for work, no call, and i was out drinking with the other boss i liked and drank with time to time. He didnt care. Also call up other buddies you work with who work that day/night and tell them to call out and come drinking with you and your cool boss. So when 5 scheduled people dont show up because there out drinking and shooting pool with the other boss, you can all have a good laugh.

I used to call in a lot on my first job. It was at a computer warehouse that I worked at for almost 5 years. I didn't really call in a lot until the last year when I was transfered to another branch in a different county. I would usually call in to stay at home with my ex. After a while when you just hate your job, you know its time to leave If you can afford it.

I do that all the time, but I usually don't make up such outlandish stories.
Goes something like this:
Subject: Won't be in today
===================
Hey,
I've been up most of the night with a really sick stomach...not pretty. Starting to feel a bit better now, but I'm wiped. I think I'm gonna stay home and rest up for the day, if that's cool. If you need me, you can call. 555-STFU (not getting my real home number, you homos).
Thanks,
G
Feel free to use that in the future.

I had an inflammed spleen last year, and I called in and said I wouldn't be at work for the next few days because of it. I could have gone in after that day, but I skipped about 4 days.

But now ive been there long enough I show up late about 15 min everyday and they dont give a shit, as long as I show up.

I had a guy call me to tell me he wasnt coming in, his excuse was "I dont feel like coming in today"
no biggie, we were light that day and he was a good worker so i gave him a pass
I fully support "mental health days" you need them every now and then. My boss is OK with them too, as long as the work gets done

I just remembered a way a co-worker got out of work. He walked up the supervisor and said
worker- "I have to leave"
supervisor- "why"
worker-" I put too much faith in a fart"
