id say age 3 is more about resource development, not saying DoW isnt but it does make you go out and force you to fight over the map b/c in DoW who controls the map controls the money and thus usually wins. While games like starcraft you can just gain a resource point and turtle up till you have built up a armada which is retarded.

DoW I would consider way better than age b/c you can change their combat stance to range or close combat, and then their also is morale involved which age or starcraft doesnt have. If a squad loses moral their combat fighting effectivness is greatly reduced and they are killed easier. There are just many features in DoW that games like SC and AoE just dont have.
