I was extremely surprised to hear about this when I was flipping through channels today. Big loss to the WWII historical community. Rest in peace and all that jazz. (Sorry, I'm not big on that kind of stuff, but it needed something, eh?)

I just read (in teh University paper) that he gave a Landon Lecture at K-State last year, and I missed it *starts banging head against monitor*
