thanks lysis!

Regarding "twitch" style games, I find those are really the most fun for me at a home LAN party style gaming session. It's interesting to mentally review the various gameplay styles and pacing associated with FPS's, especially id's Doom/Quake series and Raven Soft's Heretic/Hexen series. Twitch can definately be a blast, especially when you get zoned into it and become one with the twitch, destroying all who oppose.

Funny you should mention UT, that is definately one I enjoy for both it's fast paced DM games and it's capture the flag play. I must say the UT2k3 demo did impress me as faster paced DM, and I'd definately give it a high twitch rating. Since I'm not keeping up on the news for UT2k3 this may be totally wrong, but I'd venture a guess that this is mainly going to be a showcase for the engine, building on the base of the earlier UT game of course. Is there even a single player, I haven't heard anything but MP talk.

Not that MoHAA can't be fast paced as a twitch shooter at times, but the gameplay options lend themselves towards a slower pace, especially Obj/RbDM. With the official Tug-of-War mode *cough*[url=http://www.clan-flare.org/toolset.htm:2f18c][FLARE]Ravir[/url:2f18c]*cough* coming out in Spearhead, we'll be able to do a continuous battle over a larger territory, pacing which I hope will promote strategy and teamplay playstyles. Plus I have a few ideas of my own I'd like to implement along these lines, the auto-balance is merely the first (and probably the coarsest) of these.
