w0rd. The 3.06 has "Hyper Threading" that only a few chipsets support. I believe the Intel 845PE/GE chipset can handle it and the new "Granite Bay" E7205 does. Not sure if VIA or SiS makes anything for em yet. Anyhow, the Hyper Threading BS acts like a dual processor. Pretty wild stuff.

theres a place in vancouver bc you can get a barebone system for decent price.

3ghz p4 processor.
80gig hard drive
512mb ddr ram
sound blaster pro(or platinum cant quite remember)
TI4600 128mb

system for around 3 grand canadian (so all you americans living in washington state remember that you can get that nice system for around 1.5-2 grand )
