Default Oh noes... - 07-15-2005, 11:22 AM

Recently I installed new parts on my computer, a new motherboard, processor, and memory. Latley I notice that my computer will get hard lockups in which I can't do anything not even Ctrl+Alt+Del, so I'm forced to reset the computer. I also notice it happens nearly 99% of the time in games like Battlefield 2 or Medal of Honor Allied Assault, the only time it has ever happend outside of a game was when I was in mIRC. I have tried numerous things such as checking for faulty wires, running a repair of windows, flat out re-formatting, making sure nothing received a static discharge. I have run hardware diagnostics which shows every thing to be in the norm, my temps are fine and all my chasis fans are working. I've also run through Bios settings and checked for anything there, I've disabled Hyper Threading but with no effect. At this point I'm dumbfounded as to what the problem could be.

CPU : Intel Pentium 4 3.0Ghz (Hyper Threading)
Mobo : ASUS P5P800
GPU : NVIDIA GeForce 6600 128mb (eVGA manfucaturer)
Sound : Creative Audigy LS
Memory : Corsair Value Select (512 x 2)
PSU : 500 Watts non-modular.

All the drivers are also up to date.

(Any of you guys know of any other tech forums I could get help from?)

Make sure you're bios settings match the amount of memory you have.
