On the topic of looting, I find it ironic how stupid people looting a few hundred dollars worth of stuff is more important to everyone than something like this:

or Enron and Worldcom along with hundreds of other corporations that funnel and steal funds.

Seems like to me it's capitalism at its finest to create huge corporations and steal money, but when people in a disaster struck area loot, it's time to shoot them all.
I can empathize with the people looting for basic essentials (food, drinks, clothing, diapers, even siphoning gas) after all, there is no where for them to buy it legitimately. What gets me, is seeing the savages running out of jewelry stores and sporting goods stores with big smiles on their faces. These people are capitalizing on one of the lowest moments in US history. I'm not sure why this bothers me so much, but my sense is that it bothers anyone with a shred of decency.

EDIT: Just heard that a looter shot a police officer in the head. What else is there to say?
